Jon & Marilyn Rust

Ministry Description

Jon and Marilyn came to Portugal in July of 1984 and began working in the city of Loures, then Miratejo and are now working in a city called Samora Correia.  Samora Correla is a suburb on the northeast side of Lisbon, the capitol, with about 3 million people around them living mostly in apartment buildings that are 4 to 20 stories tall.  The Rusts are with Assoiciation of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE). They are working to establish a new church plant in Samora Correia with a small nucleus of believers. In 2011, they were able to purchase a building and convert it to a bookstore. This is used as a "meeting point" as well as to offer English classes, music lessons, etc.
